The talents of the IU Soul Revue have not gone unnoticed. Thomas "Beans," Bowles, former musician and road manager for Motown Record Corporation, Detroit, said; "The IU Soul Revue is the best Motown clone that I have ever seen." Michael J. Powell, producer of popular recording artists such as Anita Baker and Patti LaBelle said; "I was pleasantly surprised at the cohesion of talent, professionalism and quality centered within the Soul Revue."

Several Soul Revue alumni have gone on to professional careers in the music industry. Crystal Taliefero, former backup singer for both Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp, now with Billy Joel; and James Strong, bassist and band leader for L. L. Cool J and just a few.
