ADA compliance is administered by J. Terry Clapacs, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, who has named the following people to coordinate the three areas covered by the Act: Access to Employment; Access to Facilities Access to Programs and Services, for all campuses

Employment & Applicants:
Dan Rives, Associate Vice President for Human Resource Management Services, and University ADA Coordinator for Employment--Poplars 121, IUB (812) 855-0406. Dan Rives coordinates ADA issues concerning employment for the University. His contact person for ADA employment issues is Frank L. Epperson Jr.--Poplars E165, (812) 855-7511, fax  855-3409.

Facilities:
Hank Hewetson, Director of Physical Plant, and University ADA Coordinator for  Facilities--Service Building, IUB (812) 855-1763. Hank Hewetson coordinates ADA issues concerning facilities access for the University. The contact person for most ADA access issues is Dave Walter, University Architect's Office - Service Building (812) 855-0035.

Programs & Services:
John Paflas, Assistant to the Vice President for Administration--
Carmichael Center 204, IUB, (812) 855-0135.  John Paflas coordinates ADA issues regarding access to programs and services for all campuses.

Julie Knost, Director, University Office of Affirmative Action--Poplars 825, IUB (812) 855-7559.  This office oversees university compliance with the ADA.

Emergency Evacuation:
Ken Long, Assistant Director, Crisis/Disaster Operations, Risk Management--Poplars 705, (812)855-8941.  Ken Long coordinates crisis/disaster operations, including emergency evacuation procedures for those who need special assistance.

Accommodations for visitors:
On most campuses visitors requesting accommodation should contact the department sponsoring the function.  On the IUPUI campus visitors should contact Lillian Charleston, Affirmative Action Officer, at (317) 274-2306.

Additionally, the Office of Affirmative Action provides information and assistance on ADA issues to IU staff, faculty, and students.
