Africa Music and Dance Company (AMDC)

The AMDC is a cultural group made up of independent Musicians, Dancers, and Drummers who have interest in Africa whose mission is to assist the ASP in its Outreach mission of reaching the IU community, K-12 institutions in Indiana, the Indiana community and communities beyond the borders of Indiana. The nucleus of the Company is made up of the Afro-Hoosier International and the Gumboot Dancers. The Outreach Director of the African Studies Program, Dr. Osita Afuako (Professor of SPEA), is assisted by a student in the coordination of AMDC. Schools, Colleges, and Individuals seeking the services of the AMDC must contact the Outreach Director or the Director of ASP.
