The Program in Animal Behavior brings together core faculty from several Indiana University Departments to provide broad and intensive training in neuroscience, learning, development, ecology, and evolution. Our program offers many opportunities for Indiana University students wishing to learn about integrative approaches to the study of animal behavior. Students are also welcome to participate informally by becoming CISAB members, and attending local events such as our Behavior Colloquium Series and annual Spring Animal Behavior Conference.

For Graduate Students and Postdocs, there are Minors & Area Certificates in Animal Behavior. To learn more about applying to our graduate programs, contact individual CISAB faculty members, and consider individual majors in: Biology, Psychological and Brain Sciences, Neuroscience, Anthropology, Biophysics, Animal Cognition and Medical Science. Please also explore opportunities in the study of "Common Themes in Reproductive Diversity". Current students and postdocs may also want to look here for links to research grant and fellowship opportunities in animal behavior, and to consider participating in our exchange program with the N Carolina State Keck Center for Behavioral Biology and Atlanta's Center for Behavioral Neuroscience.

For Undergraduate Students, there are Minors & Area Certificates in Animal Behavior, research opportunities, and applied internships in local not-for-profit organizations. In addition, we manage an NSF-sponsored summer program in which undergraduate students from colleges and universities throughout the United States engage in animal behavior research. Undergraduates can find more information, also on the Undergraduate Frequently Asked Questions page, and through the Indiana University Office of Admissions.

The IUB Chapter of Sigma Xi, the international Scientific and Engineering Honorary Society, offers information on research opportunities and acts as a portal to scientific activity on the IUB campus. As part of this effort their website includes links to IUB Science Departments and Science-Related Institutes and Centers, as well as to Science-Related Colloquium and Lecture Series.
