Minor in Anthropology

If you are majoring in the arts and humanities or in the sciences...BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS! by taking a minor in anthropology, where you will find courses dealing with:

  • Cultures from around the world
  • Museum methods
  • Language and culture
  • Human origins and evolution

Regular course offerings include undergraduate seminars that cover topics of special interest.  Some recent seminar titles are:

  • "Human Adaptation"
  • "Arts and Ritual of Indians of the Americas"
  • "Aging Around the World"
  • "Problems in Paleoanthropology"

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 credit hours in anthropology
  • No more than one course at the 100 level
  • At least one course from the set of- B200, E200, L200, and P200
  • At least three courses at the 300-400 level
