Transcription:
The explorers come to the mouth of the underworld, a mythological realm the Maya called "Xibalba" - the place of fright. A mist hangs motionless over the cave's entrance. To the Maya it was the rain gods, coming from their home in the cave, lingering before rising to make clouds and bring rain.
