Purposes
The primary purposes of Episcopal (Anglican) Campus Ministry at Indiana University Bloomington are to identify and minister to the spiritual and religious needs and concerns of the people of IUB, to strengthen connections to and work with the larger interfaith campus community, and to build bridges of mutual ministry between ECM and other Episcopal entities in Monroe County. The principal vehicle of this ministry is through Canterbury, which provides programming, opportunities for service, and fellowship emerging from the central issues of faith and life, especially in the academy.

About our organization
Canterbury is a function of the Episcopal Campus Ministry that provides programming involving opportunities for service and fellowship. The administration of the ECM is the joint responsibility of the ECM Board of Directors and the Episcopal University Chaplain.

Contact Us by E-mail
Due to the widespread practice of harvesting E-mail addresses from Web pages for use by "spammers," we no longer publish individual E-mail addresses on this site. If you wish to contact the Chaplain or our webmaster, or to make any requests regarding our mailing list, send a message to the main Canterbury Fellowship E-mail address. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person. Most browsers will automatically decode our E-mail address and display the following link:

If you don't see our E-mail address above, try one of the following:

  • If you are affiliated with Indiana University, just address your message to "canterby" from your IU E-mail account.
  • If you are familiar with the typical appearance of E-mail addresses, you can probably solve the following puzzle, which is much easier for humans than for the spam robots: It's the word "canterby", followed by the "at" sign, followed by "indiana", followed by a dot, followed by "edu". (If you wish to contact the Chaplain personally, use "lijohnso" instead of "canterby" above.)
