The East Asian Studies Center (EASC) at Indiana University held a summer enrichment event for those who had participated in a National Consortium forTeaching about Asia (NCTA) 30-hour seminar in the Midwest region or the Teaching East Asian Literature in the High School summer workshop. EASC encouraged NCTA and Literature Workshop alumni to bring a colleague who was interested in learning more about East Asia and incorporating that knowledge into his/her classroom work.
