A box-office hit in South Korea, this spy thriller features lots of action and big stars, including Lee (Kim Yun Jin), a Pyongyang agent sent to the South. Lee casts off her past and undergoes plastic surgery in Japan, before turning up in Seoul in the guise of a seller of tropical fish. Lee seduces Yoo (Han Suk Kyu), the suave spy assigned to track her down. Meanwhile, Lee’s ruthless mentor, played by Choi Min Sik, follows her south. He is a rogue operator, planning to blow up the presidents of both states at a historic football match.

Korean with English subtitles. 1999. Kang Jae Kyu. 109 mins.

The film will be proceeded by a brief introduction and followed by a discussion session led by Ms. Jeeyoung Shin, an IU graduate student from South Korea.
