The East Asian Studies Center at Indiana University announces the
High School Honors Seminar
A Day in Korea
Friday, April 28, 2006
Faculty Room, University Club
on the IU-Bloomington campus
This annual event brought together students from across south-central Indiana to examine in depth a topic related to East Asia. Past topics have included human rights in China, Korean traditional storytelling, Japanese manga/anime, and calligraphy (to name a few).
The program for 2006, included talks by experts on daily life and shamanism in Korea. We also used a hands-on approach to learn about life in Korea.
"This is the most educational field trip I have ever been on!" (Reaction from one of the 11th grade students at the seminar this year.)

Students received a certificate of participation after the seminar
