Japan Box Lessons

The East Asian Studies Center has made available, as an additional resource to your classroom materials, four different lesson supplements on Japanese life. Each Japanese lesson has activity plans and Japanese cultural artifacts to assist in creating an understanding of Japanese culture amongst your students. The materials come in 4 different boxes and the lessons are: Japanese Daily Life, Japanese Holidays and Celebrations, Japanese School Life, and Japanese Toys.

These four lessons are available for rent by any teacher in the State of Indiana. In order to obtain one or more of the four Japan Boxes, the East Asian Studies Center requires that every teacher send a check of $25 (for each box requested) to the East Asian Studies Center as a deposit for the upkeep of the materials in each box. After receiving the deposit, the East Asian Studies Center will ship the box of your choice to your school. Once you receive the Japan Box, you have two weeks (14 days) to use it in your classroom. After that time, the center requires you to send back the box. If we receive the box without any materials missing or damaged, then the deposit that each teacher sent in will be destroyed.

To order one or more of the Japan Boxes, please fill out the reservation form, or call 812-855-3765. Once the East Asian Studies Center receives your reservation request, we will contact you to confirm the date requested. Please print the form off and mail it with your check for each box to the address below. The East Asian Studies Center asks you to understand that we may not be able to fulfill all reservation requests.
