Policy

The East Asian Box Lessons are available for rent by any teacher in the USA. In order to obtain one or more of the Box Lessons, the East Asian Studies Center requires that every teacher send a check of $25 (for each box requested) to the East Asian Studies Center as a deposit for the upkeep of the materials in each box. After receiving the deposit, the East Asian Studies Center will ship the box of your choice to your school. Once you receive the Box Lessons, you have two weeks (14 days) to use it in your classroom. After that time, the Center requires you to send back the box. If we receive the box without any materials missing or damaged, then the deposit that each teacher sent in will be destroyed.

Before requesting a box, we recommend that you check its availability by calling (812) 855-3765 or email easc@indiana.edu.

You may either submit this form online or print it and mail it to the address below.
You may also check the availability of any of our Box Lessons by calling (812) 855-3765.
You are responsible for ensuring the included articles of the box are RETURNED and UNDAMAGED.
Once your reservation is confirmed, please print the form off and mail it with your $25 check deposit (per box), payable to the East Asian Studies Center, to the address below. (Please note that the Center will not send your selected East Asian Box until we have received your deposit.)
