This ancestral home located near the banks of the Naktong River in North Kyongsang Province consists of a number of buildings including a gate house, a room for receiving guests, an inner living room, a household shrine, and outbuildings. The Uisong Kim clan is a well-known yangban clan, and the layout of the house clearly reveals the relationship between the family members as well the family's status in society as a whole.
