In this folk dance, a good-for-nothing youth fights with a monk over the affections of a kisseng, a professional female entertainer. The dance was originally performed by travel-ling entertainers who would carry the principal characters around on their shoulders, making for a hilarious scene, sati-rizing aristocratic society and the monk community.
