Bottle Punch'ong glazed stoneware with iron underglaze decoration Choson, 16th century, Height 30cm, Dameter at mouth 6.6cm, Diameter at foot 7.4cm, Ho-am Art Museum This bottle is decorated with fish, lotus and scroll motifs, painted in dark brown iron pigment underglaze and covered with a white slip, except on the mouth. A transparent light yellow glaze with fine crackles covers the entire body, but in some areas the glaze has peeled away. Click here to return |
