Doug Slaymaker, Ph.D., associate professor, Japanese, University of Kentucky; co-director, University of Kentucky Asia Center.

Dr. Slaymaker is the author of The Body in Postwar Japanese Fiction (Routledge, 2004) and editor of Confluences: Postwar Japan and France (Center for Japanese Studies, University of Michigan, 2002). His most recent research focuses on Japanese visual and literary artists and the experience of France.
