NCTA Updates
NCTA Networking Opportunities for Spring 2006:
- The National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA)
is planning exhibit booths and informal events in conjunction with professional conferences this spring. These activities at professional conferences afford teachers an opportunity to learn about NCTA seminars and network with those who conduct the seminars as well as seminar alumni. NCTA offers seminars, materials, and study tour opportunities to enhance teaching about Asia in precollegiate geography, literature, and social studies courses. Those unable to attend the conferences are encouraged to visit www.NCTAsia.org. The schedule for the event will follow.
National Council for History Education (NCHE):
- During the annual conference on the National Council for History Education NCTA will host an exhibit booth (#38) in Rio Grande Exhibit Hall at the Renaissance Hotel, Austin, TX on Thursday (evening)
March 30, Friday March 31, and Saturday April 1. Also, NCTA will contribute East Asia- focused curriculum units for the door prize drawing.
World History Association (WHA):
- During the annual conference of the World History Association, NCTA will host an exhibit booth on Friday June 23, and Saturday June 24 at California State University, Long Beach. Also, NCTA will sponsor a continental breakfast on Friday June 23 and Saturday June24.
