K2000 Version 3 Software Tips
Creating Your Directory:
Press the Disk
button to reach the Disk Mode Page, make sure the hard drive is the Current Disk
Press the NewDir
soft button (you'll have to press the more>
button to get to it), then name your directory (please use your first or last name),
press OK
Choose where you want to put the directory (pressing OK
will select the default directory, pressing Change
will allow you to view the disk, traversing its directories, until you find the one
in which you want to create a subdirectory). Your first directory should be created
at the root level (Path = \)
--you can then create subdirectories within it to further organize your work (such
as \piece one\, \piece two\
, etc.)
Moving Files Between Directories:
Press the Move
soft button from the Disk Mode Page, move the single highlighted file or press the
Select
soft button to select multiple files to move (an asterisk (*) appears next to a
selected file), Press Ok
after you have made your selection(s)
Select the destination directory, (when viewing the contents of the current directory,
it may be difficult to locate your directory--try using the Left
or Right
cursor buttons to quick scroll to the next or previous directory), the move begins
when you select either SetDir
(after you highlight your directory) or Current
(to select the Current directory)
Copying A File To Your Directory:
Please don't move files that are not yours (i.e. factory samples, etc.) into your
directory---instead load the file(s) into RAM and go to Master
Mode, then Save
the file(s) into your directory (remember you can save individual objects as described
above!).
Individual Objects:
With Version 3, we can load, save-(anything in RAM), and move individual objects
(samples, programs, keymaps, etc.). When performing the above functions, highlight
a file and press Open
to reach the Objects dialog, then Select
file(s), etc.
Deleting Directories:
Use the Delete
soft button to delete directories (they must be empty first!)
Using The List Utility:
The List utility allows you to view directories on a disk with the expanded contents
of all subdirectories. Each line is indented according to its directory level, so
that you can get a sense of how your directory tree is organized.
Access this function through disk mode--->Util
