DAVID E. ALBRIGHT |

David E. Albright is Senior Fellow at
the Center for the Study of Global Change. He returned to Indiana University, from which
he received both AB and MA degrees, in 1994 after retiring from the U.S. government.
During his previous career, he worked as Research Associate at the Council on Foreign
Relations in New York, an editor of the journal Problems of Communism in
Washington, D.C., and Professor of National Security Affairs at the Air War College in
Montgomery, AL. He also served as Adjunct Professor at American University and Georgetown
University in Washington, D.C. Since coming back to Indiana University, he has taught
courses on democratization in Africa, rethinking national security and military strategy
in the former Soviet bloc, and ethnic conflict in Eastern Europe as well as carried out a
variety of research projects. Dr. Albright has conducted research and lectured extensively
abroad. These activities have included three lecture tours under the auspices of the
United States Information Agency. Dr. Albright's publications include 10 books and
monographs and nearly 40 book chapters and articles in journals. The most recent of the
books is Ukraine and European Security with Semyen J. Appatov of Odessa University.
This was published in May 1999 by Macmillan/St. Martin's Press. Dr. Albright's primary
area of expertise is international security. |
