Graduate Student Travel Grants

Applications due October 1st, 2003

Departmental recommendations for College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Travel Grants will be due Wednesday, October 1, 2003. The application form is attached. Please make this information available to students who have been invited to present papers at conferences scheduled during the 2003-2004 academic year. Students may also print the form from the College of Arts and Sciences Web site for submission to the department. http://www.indiana.edu/~college/graduate/office/travelapp.htm

Please note that travel grants cover only a small portion of the total cost of a trip; awards usually range from $100 to $300. Preference will be given to those who will be the sole or lead presenter of a paper at a major national or international conference and to those who have not previously received a College travel grant. Only applications endorsed by College of Arts and Sciences graduate programs will be considered. Each College unit may recommend no more than three student requests. For those units recommending two or three students, please provide a ranked list. If the student is eligible for travel funds from a department or grant account, please include this information and list the amounts. Please submit travel grant applications to my office in Kirkwood Hall 014 by Wednesday, October 1, 2003.
