Costs and Financial Aid
The University Graduate School is IU's centralized administrative office for graduate work leading to advanced academic degrees. That office also offers information concerning various financial assistance opportunities for graduate students including fellowships. See more information about sources of financial aid through the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. These include:
Tuition
Students in the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation pay the regular in-state or out-of-state tuition for Indiana University.
Additional fees: Distance education courses require an additional $25 per credit hour distance education technology fee. Some courses require course-related fees in addition to credit hour rates. These fees cover incidental costs such as materials and transportation. For more detailed information regarding fees, visit the IU Bursar Web site.
International Student Expenses: International students pay nonresident tuition fees. The IU International Center estimates that the total costs for an international graduate student for the academic year 2006-2007 is $29,659. This estimate includes tuition and fees, room and board, health insurance, and miscellaneous expenses. For more information, visit IU's International Admissions Web site.
Residency Status Rules: Physical presence at Indiana University does not guarantee resident classification. Individuals 21 and older who are entering Indiana from other states or countries for the purpose of pursuing their education at IU will NOT be granted residency status. See more information on residency status rules.
