The Anita Aldrich Distinguished Alumni Award
The award is named after Anita Aldrich, former chairperson and interim
dean of the School. The award honors an alum or alumna who has
demonstrated positive influences and contributions in fields related
to girls and women’s sports, fitness, and healthy lifestyles. The
award also recognizes outstanding achievements in professional excellence,
service to the community and loyalty to Indiana University. Recipients
can include educators or professional alumna/alumni who have established
a career path which others will benefit from and strive to follow. The
recipient is recognized again during the celebration of the National
Girls and Women’s Sports Day in February.
