John R. Endwright Alumni Service Award
Established in 1986, the John R. Endwright Alumni Service Award is an annual award that recognizes outstanding service and contributions by graduates of the IU School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. As a measure of accomplishment in service to the school and/or profession, the award is a reflection of former Dean John R. Endwright's commitment to strong ties between the school and its graduates. It was Endwright, who earlier in his career as an assistant to Dean Willard Patty, suggested that a school's foundation would be only as strong as the relationships it established with its alumni.
