"When I was thinking about applying to graduate school, I compared the curriculum in the School of HPER to two other universities. I felt that IU offered me the best opportunity to be successful within my career. The faculty in the School of HPER are very understanding, supportive and knowledgeable. Whether you are looking to work in the field and be a practitioner or looking into being a professor, you will be well prepared with an education from Indiana University."
Why Bloomington?
A cultural oasis. That's how many describe Bloomington, a beautiful and welcoming town nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana.
Live music, farmers markets, art fairs, gorgeous parks and lakes, theatre, restaurants, and museums - these world-class attractions make Bloomington a perfect place to study, work, and live.
IU has been named one of the most beautiful colleges in the United States and USA Today named Bloomington one of the top ten places for campus culture.
Housing Options
Whether you want to rent a house or a single room, there is no shortage of housing options in Bloomington, from sleek new apartments to funky bungalows, on and off campus.
On campus, graduate students have three residentials options: Ashton Center, Eigenmann Hall, and Wilke Quad. Rates for these residence halls range from $2,600 to $5,800 for a year. IU also offers campus apartments; rents range from $495 to about $1,000 a month.
