Luba The Angel of Bergen-Belsen
As told to Michelle R. McCann
by Luba Tryszynska-Frederick

Luba Tryszynska was sent to the concentration camp at Bergen Belsen after being seperated from her husband and small child. Her first night in the camp, she awoke from her sleep to the sounds of a child crying. Convinced it was her son, she jumped out of bed to look for him. What she discovered were 54 starving children who had been abondoned in the woods behind her barracks.
Luba could not watch these children die, so she snuck them into her barracks to the dismay of her roommates. Through many clever moves and much determination, Luba was able to keep the children hidden and alive until the camp was set free by British forces.

This is an incredible story and one to which all children can relate.
