A little bit about our logo. Our department logo is the outcome of a university-wide logo contest, which was held in Fall 2002. In response to our call, we received over 40 outstanding entries. We pruned down these entries and ended-up with final-3, all of which were, coincidentally, submitted by Greg Folz! The department voted for their favorites from amongst the final-3 and one was chosen unanimously.

Our logo exemplifies that the IS Department is the Information Systems (source) at the Indiana University. Our "...Make the Connection..." tagline highlights how the IS Department is uniquely positioned to connect people, technology, systems and business.
