Distinctive Academic Opportunities

At IU, you will find so many valuable ways to extend your classroom learning and widen your academic experiences. Study abroad in places like Australia and Japan, live in a learning community, conduct research with a professor, complete an internship, plan your own degree program, or take honors classes.

Hutton Honors College

The Hutton Honors College offers our most academically talented students numerous benefits: small classes taught by distinguished faculty, extensive academic advising, research opportunities, honors housing, and a wide variety of extracurricular programs and social events. Transfer students are eligible for admission to this highly selective program. Contact the Hutton Honors College directly for more information.

Many of IU's schools and departments also offer honors programs within their majors that like the Honors College curriculum, can lead to a General Honors Notation upon graduation.
