Essays: We require all grant recipients to reflect upon what they have seen and learned overseas in a formal fashion and present to the Hutton Honors College a concise essay (approx. 750-1000 words) discussing an experience or experiences they had while abroad. Please write something original and interesting! We are open to new ideas and different genres as long as the work is well-considered and well-written. For some ideas and inspiration take a look at some sample essays.

Photos: We also require that you submit one photograph taken during your trip. You can send us more, but please do not send more than three photos per e-mail. Ideally, at least one photo should include yourself, but we also appreciate photos of sights, people, you at famous landmarks in IU gear (IU shirts, hats, etc), and friends you've met during your travels. Take a look at some photos already submitted on our online photo gallery. Be sure to include a caption!
