Andrea N. Eagleman, Ph.D.
Eagleman is a professor at Saint Mary's College of California. Eagleman’s main research interests focus specifically on the portrayal of athletes in the mass media and the differences in media portrayals of race, nationality, and gender. Eagleman graduated from Indiana University with her bachelor’s in Journalism and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her master’s in Sport Management and Athletic Administration. Eagleman served as a Communications Assistant at Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics for one year, and then worked as the Public Relations Manager of Lehman Racing, a Chicago-based professional motorsports team competing in the National Hot Rod Association, for three years. She has taught Sport Management and Sport Communication coursesat Columbia College Chicago, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, and Indiana University. Andrea was married to Karl Eagleman in December of 2006. In her free time she enjoys doing gymnastics, running, working out, traveling, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and Chicago Bears.

Clavio is an Assistant Professor in the Sport Administration program at the University of Miami. A native of West Lafayette, Indiana, Clavio received a master's degree in Sport Management from Indiana University in 2005, and received his Ph.D. in Sport Management from Indiana University in 2008. His main research interest is the influence of electronic and new media on the interactions between sport organizations and sport consumers, with particular attention paid to the effects of Internet-mediated interactions between and within these groups. He is also interested in research topics such as agenda setting in sport journalism, sport marketing efforts in video games, and public relations in the sport industry. Clavio has been published in the International Journal of Sport Communication, the International Journal of Sport Management, and the International Journal of Sport Marketing and Sponsorship.
Prior to entering academia, Clavio worked in the sport industry for five years. He has industry experience as a play-by-play broadcaster, media and public relations director, talk show host, and sports blog owner and editor.

Dr. Liz Gregg graduated from the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Sports Studies. While working towards her undergraduate degree, she was a member of the women’s golf team and earned her pilot’s license. Her M.S. in Sport Management was completed at Indiana University. During her time at IU, Dr. Gregg has worked as the Graduate Assistant for the Physical Activity Instruction Program, as an Associate Instructor, and currently as a visiting Lecturer. In her free moments, Dr. Gregg enjoys spending time with family and friends, training for triathlons, playing golf and softball, reading, and spending time with her dog Peetie.

Dr. Anastasios Kaburakis is currently an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Sport Management Graduate Program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, School of Education, Department of Kinesiology, after serving the Department of Kinesiology in the School of HPER at Indiana University as Visiting Lecturer. He worked with the Indiana University Sport Management program since 2001, after earning his law degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, and practicing law licensed through the Thessaloniki Bar Association. While in Greece, he taught and coached basketball at the American High School and College of Thessaloniki, Anatolia College, also coaching at Aris Basketball Club (Junior Men) and the National Teams of Greece (Cadettes and Junior Women), working with the Greek Basketball Federation. He completed his PhD in Sport Management with a Minor in Strategy from the Department of Management in the Kelley School of Business in the Fall of 2005, and his doctoral dissertation 'NCAA DI Amateurism and International Prospective Student-Athletes - The professionalization threshold' dealt with NCAA policy, U.S. Constitutional Law, and International Sport Governing Bodies. He has presented his research at the International Association for Sport Law, SRLA, EASM, NASSM, and related conferences. He has published in International Sport Law Journal, the International Journal of Sport Management and Marketing, the Scientific Journal of the Dept. of Exercise and Sport Science of AUTH, and other international policy and law reviews. Cooper has received his PhD in the area of Sport Management and Sport Marketing. Recently, Cooper accepted a position to join the Sport Management program at West Virginia University. His research focus is in the area of sport marketing, with an emphasis on collegiate nonrevenue sport programs. In the past, Cooper has focused on identifying motives for attendance at amateur wrestling events. Currently, he has investigated the coverage provided to nonrevenue sport teams on intercollegiate athletic websites. In addition to his research endeavors, Cooper has also worked with ESPN during the past eight years at various sporting events. In the fall of 2006, he was a member of the ESPN College Football Production crew. He received both his bachelor's (Kinesiology-Teacher Preparation) and master's (Sport Administration) degrees from Indiana University. He is married to Brandy Cooper and the couple has two dogs (Chinook and Mekah).

Pierce has taught seven courses in the Sport Management curriculum at three institutions in Indiana, including Indiana University, Ivy Tech, and Ball State University, where he is currently on faculty. He also serves as the play-by-play radio voice of the Marian College football team. Prior to entering the doctoral program at Indiana, Pierce served four years as a video and technology assistant for the Indiana University football team, completed three internships with the Indiana University athletic department and the Indiana Fever, and officiated intramural basketball for five years. In addition to developing a line of research in NCAA policy, Pierce has worked extensively with Campus Instructional Consulting to develop and assess instructional strategies that engage students in the classroom and facilitate learning. Pierce lives with his wife, Sara, in Fishers, Indiana.

Dr. Erianne Allen Weight, who graduated in 2006, is an assistant professor within the Sport Management department at Bowling Green State University. She earned her B.S. in exercise and sport science and her M.B.A. at the University of Utah. She also competed as a hepthathlete during her tenure at the university. Weight has been a part-time faculty member at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill., an associate instructor at Indiana University, an assistant track coach for the University of Utah, and an associate director of camps and conferences for the College of Eastern Utah. She has taught sport marketing, sport and event promotion, sport finance, and strategic management in the sport industry. She is married to Matthew A. Weight, a commercial pilot and former University of Illinois wrestler. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading by a pool, running, hiking, and gardening.

Patrick M. Kraft, Ph.D.
Kraft is completing his Ph.D. in the Sport Marketing and Sport Management program at Indiana University. He graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s in Sport Marketing and Management and a master’s in Sport Management and Athletic Administration. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Kraft worked in both professional and amateur athletics with responsibilities including day-to-day event operations as well as the development and enhancement of local, national and international marketing programs. He has successfully solicited sponsorships and managed public relations efforts, promotional programs and fundraising initiatives with companies such as: AFLAC, All-State Insurance, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Goodyear Tire, Speedo, and United Airlines. Furthermore, Kraft has worked with such media outlets as, NBC, ESPN, MTV, Spike TV, HD NET, Fox Sports Net, and several local affiliates. Kraft is an Indiana University Football Letterman and member of the I Association.

Won-Youl Bae, ABD
Bae is completing his first year as a doctoral student in Sport Marketing and Sport Management at Indiana University. Bae graduated from Dan Kook University in Korea with his bachelor’s degree in Japanese Literature, and received his another bachelor’s degree in Marketing at the University of Utah. Bae was a student-athlete in Korea. He played basketball at Dan Kook University (Div. I conference) and received a full athletic scholarship for four years. Earning a master’s degree in Sport Administration and Facility Management at Ohio University, Bae completed an internship at the United States Golf Association for 2003 U.S. Open Golf Championship (Olympia Fields, Illinois). He is teaching golf and basketball classes as an Adjunct Instructor at Indiana University. Bae’s main academic research interest areas include sport marketing, sport management, and sport agency specifically focusing on the LPGA marketing and golf fan motivation. Currently, he is studying to analyze the reasons why Korean female golfers have been successful in securing such a dominant position on the LPGA Tour. Bae is researching with Dr. Pedersen who is the program of study chair and academic advisor for Bae. Furthermore, Bae is a basketball agent for the Korean Professional Basketball League. He is representing about 15 American players to help them to make a contract with Korean, Chinese, European, and East Asian teams. Bae was married to Ji-Soo Lee and have two adorable children, Rachel and Timothy.

Greg is currently in his fourth year of study in the in the area of Sport Management and Sport Marketing at Indiana University. Greg received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Kelley School of Business, his Master’s degree from the Indiana University School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation and his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law. Greg is currently a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and is stationed at The Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego where he is the Senior Defense Counsel. In this capacity Greg has represented over 50 Marines in both Special and General Courts Martial ranging from allegations of drug abuse to Murder. Greg has been the military defense counsel for such high profile cases as: U.S. v. Glass, U.S. v. Delarosa, U.S. v. Encarnacion and most recently U.S. v. Weemer. Greg was a two time letter winner on the Indiana University Football team as well as team Captain during his senior year. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Bridget, playing outdoor sports and following the Hoosier football team.

McNary is completing her second year as a doctoral student and also serves as an instructor in sport marketing and sport management at Indiana University. She is the Manager of Operations with The President’s Challenge, a national physical activity and fitness awards program located on the Indiana University campus. McNary received her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Illinois-Champaign. After finishing her undergraduate coursework, she completed an internship at the Student Recreation Center at Arizona State University (Tempe, Arizona, USA). Earning a master’s degree in Sport Marketing at Indiana University, McNary went on to work at The University of Texas-San Antonio Recreation Center as a Facility Coordinator. Pursuing a passion for teaching and education, McNary spent a year teaching kinesiology courses at Northwest Vista College (San Antonio, Texas, USA). Her main scholarly areas of interest include sport management, sport marketing, and sport communication specifically focusing on portrayals of race, gender, type of sport and ethics in youth sport, marketing and sponsorship in youth sport, and the history, marketing and promotion of women in sport. McNary enjoys traveling, volunteering as a reading mentor, running and working out, Ashtanga yoga, and watching and playing basketball and tennis.

Geoffre Sherman, ABD
Sherman is completing his final year as a PhD student in the Sport Management area. His research focus is in the area of the history of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and legal and economic policy within intercollegiate athletics. Sherman served as a visiting lecturer for two years, served as an associate instructor for two years, and worked within the IU athletic department for six years. He spent time teaching courses in sport management, athletics in higher education, and sports information. Sherman, who is working on his dissertation entitled “Ensuring its existence: the NCAA as a cartel,” has presented at national sport management and sport law conferences. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Sherman earned his master of science in kinesiology from Indiana University in 2001 and his bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communication in 2000. Sherman is currently in his second year as sports information director and an adjunct professor of sport management at Marian College, an NAIA-affiliated institution in Indianapolis with a startup football program. Sherman currently resides in Plainfield, Ind., with his wife, Tara, and enjoys soccer, baseball and playing the tenor saxophone.

Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Sherman earned his master of science in kinesiology from Indiana University in 2001 and his bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communication in 2000. Sherman is currently in his second year as sports information director and an adjunct professor of sport management at Marian College, an NAIA-affiliated institution in Indianapolis with a startup football program. Sherman currently resides in Plainfield, Ind., with his wife, Tara, and enjoys soccer, baseball and playing the tenor saxophone.
