Scientific Instrumentation

The Department of Natural, Information and Mathematical Sciences possesses numerous scientific instruments to provide a hands-on experience for undergraduate students using sophisticated modern instruments that are available in both industrial and research settings. In addition, the instruments are available for faculty/student research projects through Indiana University Kokomo's URSI program as well as for faculty research projects. Most of the instruments are either new acquisitions or replacement units for pre-existing equipment. Two recent fund drives, including a successful Kresege Foundation Challenge Grant have provided funds for such purposes as well as for establishing a science equipment endowment fund. This endowment will ensure that the instrumentation is kept up to date.
