Quilt Exhibit: Hours 10:00 - 2:00 Tuesdays through Saturdays except on February 28, 29, March 1 when the hours will be extended to 10:00- 4:00 and a free shuttle will run between the Museum and the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show at the Convention Center

Preparing for the Seed Sale Preparing for the Seed Sale
Wylie House Annual Seed Sale:
Over 80 historic varieties of flower, vegetable, and herb seeds, all grown without the use of chemicals in the Wylie House Museum garden and germination tested to insure viability. All varieties are pre-1850, some are now rare. Also available, 35 varieties of flower and vegetable seeds from Seed Saver Exchange. Sale takes place in the Wylie House Museum Annex, 317 E. Second St., Bloomington.

19th-century Fashion Show

Wylie House staff and volunteers will model reproductions of gowns from the 19th century, and a talk will be given about styles of women's clothing. The show will be followed by a tour of Wylie House and the exhibit of 19th-century women's clothing and refreshments. The program is free, but seating is limited. The fashion show will take place in the Wylie House Museum, 307 E. Second St., Bloomington. Click on the thumbnails below to see larger versions of each picture.

Chamber Music of Mozart Played on Period Instruments

Presented by Die Lustigen Musikanten, an ensemble from the Early Music Institute, which means "The Cheerful Musicians" in German. This program offers one of W.A. Mozart's favorite chamber music pieces, the A-Major Clarinet Quintet, and an arrangement by Mozart of a Bach fugue from the Baroque composer's famous Well-tempered Clavier. Event will take place in the Wylie House Museum, 307 E. Second St., Bloomington. Limited seating only.

Wylie House by Candlelight

Wylie House will host its annual holiday season open house on Saturday, December 6, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Guests will be welcomed in the downstairs rooms where there will be live music, readings from Wylie family letters, sacred harp singers, and light refreshments.

Wylie House Tours

Docents available to give tours of the house and garden. Tours are free and open to the public. Special arrangements can be made to accomodate different schedules, but please call ahead.
