About the Wylie Family

Wylie House was inhabited by Wylies for nearly 80 years. Andrew Wylie built the house in 1835 and lived there with his wife Margaret and ten of their twelve children. Theophilus A. Wylie and his family lived in the house from 1859 until 1913.

Below are links to information about the two Wylie families. The personal and professional papers of both Andrew and Theophilus Wylie are held at the Indiana University Archives, Bryan Hall 207, and are available to researchers by appointment (812-855-1127).
