Summer Research Experience in Animal Behavior
My research is in the evolution of behavior, particularly
communication and social behavior. I have pursued this interest through
empirical studies of lizard communication and social behavior, and also
through the development of computer and statistical tools for analyzing
interspecific data along a phylogeny (the phylogenetic comparative method).
Most recently, I've gone back to my academic roots to start a major project on the genetic and hormonal bases of behavior, using zebrafish.
