NELC Admissions
The first step in the NELC Departmental Admissions process for the is being admitted to Indiana University. The preferred method for applying to Indiana University is to access the Apply Online system. This is available for both domestic and international applicants who are applying for either undergraduate or graduate studies.
Materials for NELC Application
- Transcripts from ALL colleges and universities you have attended
- Curriculum Vitae
- Test scores (GREs and/or TOEFL as appropriate)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Statement of Purpose (1-2 pages)
- Writing sample (5-10 pages)
Please note: While you can submit photocopies of your transcripts and test scores with your NELC application, you ultimately will be required to submit official copies of these documents to the university.
Deadlines
The NELC Department will consider applications filed by the appropriate Indiana University deadlines. Applications received past these university deadlines will not be reviewed. The university deadlines are as follow:
International students: December 15
Domestic students: January 15
