Two copies of personal essay:
Compose a well-written paragraph or essay in response to each question.
Edit your responses with care so that you present yourself effectively to the selection committee.
Write your name and the name of your program on the top.
- Why are you applying to this program? In what specific ways will this program contribute to your overall academic and professional objectives?
- Will this program lengthen your degree program at your institution? If so, explain why you feel it is academically relevant to do so.
- Give evidence of your serious interest in the host country.
- Life in another country involves significantly different living situations, academic environments and social customs. What experience and skills do you have that will help you cope with such differences?
- What are your primary non-academic activities and interests?
- What do you expect to be the most challenging aspects of studying abroad?
- Is there anything else you would like us to know about you? Is there anything about your academic record or information in your application that you would like to explain further?
Two letters of recommendation*: Arrange to have letters of recommendation sent to Overseas Study from two professors (preferred) or associate instructors who knows your work well, not from employers or
friends. One letter should be from a professor or associate instructor of Italian.
Remind your references of the application deadline and the program for which you are applying. To verify whether your references have sent letters of recommendation to Overseas Study, contact your references, not Overseas Study.
One copy of the Agreement and Release
form signed by you, and if required, your parent or guardian. Print out form from the web.
