Melanie is an advanced
doctoral student in the Instructional Systems Technology department.
She has taught French for the University of Calgary and the Canadian
government. She has taken a few online courses herself and this is her
first experience teaching as an assistant instructor for one. Her academic
interests are distance education, online learning environments, collaborative
learning, technology integration in the classroom, and language instruction.
Throughout the course,
we encourage you to talk with either of us anytime you have a question,
idea, problem, or concern. We should normally be able to respond to
email within 48 hours, often sooner. Phone calls are welcome; we are
not always in our offices, but we have voice mail, so you can leave
a message and we'll return your call. Finally, if you're in or near
Bloomington, a face-to-face meeting is always a nice idea.
