Associate Professor of Philosophy, Adjunct Professor of American Studies and of Education.

His areas of published research include action theory, epistemology, metaphysics, moral development, philosophy of education, biology, and psychology. His current interests center on ontology, philosophy of action, and philosophy of mind. He is a past editor of Philosophical Studies in Education. He is a past president of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society and of the central division of the Radical Philosophy Association. He is currently president of the Indiana Philosophical Association.
