We are now at the top of the stairs in the previous image, and are looking back, to the northeast. Another marker plaque is set in the bricks at our feet. Beyond the stairs, the Castañeda Bench is visible once again. In the background, the Veatch dogwood tree and, behind that, Morrison Hall. To the right, part of Sycamore Hall. The door on the side leads into the basement level of Sycamore, where most of our graduate student offices are located. The two rows of windows above that are for Philosophy Department offices, administrative offices on the ground floor and faculty offices above that.
