Spots

I am a little Dalmation pup,
and I don't know which end is up.

All I know is what I see.
How come there are no spots on me?

Maybe my spots fell on the floor,
or maybe my spots rolled out the door.

Maybe they're up on top of my head,
or maybe they're on my tail instead!

My brothers and sisters all have spots.
Why can't I have one little dot?

Could it really possibly be
that there were no spots left for me?

My mother says that it's O.K.,
I don't need them anyway.

I don't need them to roll a ball.
I really don't need them at all.

They don't help you to hear or see.
How come there are no spots on me ?

I hope some day they'll just appear,
and I won't have to shed a tear.

Until then I will not fret,
because I know I will get them yet.

And when they finally do show up,
I will be a happy pup!
