The Rainbow Room

By Holly Swick

Illustrated by Katie Berggren

My room is like a rainbow
All the colors are inside.
They're captured all within the place
That I like to hide.

My walls are painted purple.
My blanket is bluish-green.
I like to wave it up and down.
To make an ocean scene.

The pillow where I lay my head
Is a bright and fluffy white.
I dream upon it for hours and hours
And float into the night.

The rug beneath my feet
Is majestic scarlet red,
Just perfect for a queen like me
Upon her royal bed.

And early in the morning
There shines a yellow light.
The color pours through my window
To wake me from the night.
