    Provides an archive of social sciences data, some restricted to use by University of Wisconsin-Madison students, staff and faculty. Some of the data may be used by the general public.
     
  • Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)
    According to its Web site, ICPSR provides "access to the world's largest archive of computerized social science data; training facilities for the study of quantitative social analysis techniques; and resources for social scientists using advanced computer technologies.
     
  • Online Dictionary of the Social Sciences
    This social science dictionary, maintained by Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada, contains 1000 entries covering sociology, criminology, political science and women's study with a commitment to Canadian examples and events and names.
     
  • Social Science Hub
    Links to social science resources on anthropology; archaeology;  cyberspace; evaluation; health; news; psychology; research methods, services, and tools; social policy; sociology; and statistics. Also provides information about multiple search gateways, data archives, newsgroups, journals, and publishing and citations in the social sciences. Maintained in Australia, the site does have an Australian flavor; however, it is still useful to non-Australian researchers.
     
  • Social Science Information Gateway (SOSIG)
    This site aims to provide "selected, high quality Internet information for researchers and practitioners in the social sciences, business and law."
     
  • Social Sciences Data Collection of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD)
    While much in this repository of social science data is restricted to use by those affiliated with UCSD, some data sets are available for unrestricted use. The site also provides links of interest to social science researchers.
