Dr. Terrence C. Mason, Director

Terrence Mason is an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at Indiana University-Bloomington. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA in 1986 and has been a faculty member at the University of Georgia and Central Connecticut State University. Professor Mason teaches courses in social studies methods and curriculum theory and practice. His research interests focus on civic education, teacher preparation, and social studies curriculum. Professor Mason serves as book review editor for Theory and Research in Social Education and is involved in a variety of international projects. Jane E. Henson, Associate Director

Jane Henson serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Social Studies and International Education. She holds masters degrees in information and library science and in instructional systems technology, and a bachelors degree in education. In addition to Indiana University, she has held positions at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Wisconsin. From 1986 until 2003, she managed the ERIC Clearinghouse for Social Studies. Ms. Henson has been a community college instructor since 1986. Christi A. Jones, Administrative Manager

Christi Jones serves as the Administrative Manager of the Center for Social Studies and International Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and education. Ms. Jones has middle school teaching experience. Before coming to Indiana University, Christi held positions with the U.S. Army as a social services representative. She also served as the program coordinator for the University of Southern California (Zeibrucken, Germany) overseas Master of Science degree in information systems management.
