STC Personnel Information Environment Demos

The Personnel Information Environment (PIE) is an application to termination online tool (developed in ColdFusion with MS-SQL as a backend) used by Student Technology Consulting to annually process over 400 job applications and manage160+ hourly employees. The PIE collects online job applications and processes employee hiring, manages employee schedules, facilitates shift substitutions, tracks personnel information, tracks and electronically submits employee payroll data, gathers observations of personnel and collates the information into performance reviews, tracks attendance discipline and contains numerous tools for monitoring employee shifts. Various aspects of this tool are used by hourly computer consultants, hourly support staff and professional staff.

Below you will find links to a video demonstration of selected features of the PIE. If you would like to see a demonstration of the entire PIE during the Fall 2005 SIGUCCS Conference, please contact Sue Perin, Manager of Student Technology Consulting at Indiana University, by sending email to sperin@indiana.edu.
