From 1969 to 2000 Frank Silberstein served as the department's Technical Director. He was also
head of our MFA program in Theatre
Technology. He has authored a number of articles on technical
theatre subjects and has served on a number of boards and panels of
the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. As chair of
the Graphic Standards Board of USITT he was instrumental in helping
to establish a national standard for theatrical scenic drafting practice.
Mr. Silberstein has over 150 production credits as lighting or scene
designer for academic and professional stock companies.
