BCUD was formed in the spring of 1998 to provide an organization that could interact with area businesses and facilities to increase the exposure, appreciation, and quality of Ultimate in our area.

Or to put it more directly, we wanted to find a place to play Ultimate where they wouldn't kick us off.

BCUD has the interests of the whole Ultimate community in mind, not just one segment. Even though many of us are HoosierMama? and Calamity Jane alumni, we believe that, in the long run, I.U. Ultimate will be better served if we focus our energies on the large and varied Ultimate community instead of just the college programs.

Although BCUD is not technically a non-profit organization as defined by the federal government, we do not operate with any profit motive beyond covering our nominal expenses. Contributions, financial and otherwise, are always appreciated.

Some of the programs BCUD have brought to the community include:

  • The Monroe County Summer Recreational League
  • The Monroe County Summer Elite League
  • The Monroe County Fall League
  • The not-quite-year-round scrimmages at Karst Farm Park and Jordan Field
  • The Winter Indoor League
Some of the programs BCUD hopes to develop and bring to the community include:
  • UPA sanctioned Tournaments
  • High School/Juniors programs
  • Hat tournaments at Karst
Any ideas or projects that you would like to suggest will always be considered. Also, volunteers for BCUD leagues or functions are eligible for fee discounts and/or Ultimate apparel. If you are interested in becoming a member of the BCUD committee or just have questions, please contact BCUD.
