We encourage early application for workshop participants. We will begin accepting
applications on January 15th, 2008. (We offer a 10% discount for applications postmaked by March 15th). If you wish to compete for scholarship support,
the application deadline is April 15. A $50 application fee is due with this form, which will be applied to your final bill of $500 for workshop participants or $250 for those wishing to enroll in classes only.
Final placement letters with the name of your workshop leader, conference registration materials, and an invoice will be mailed starting in early May 2008. All fees owed to the IUWC will be due upon receipt of the invoice. The IU Office of the Bursar will directly bill credit-seeking attendees.
Please note: applications postmarked after April 15 will not be considered for scholarship support.

_____WORKSHOP APPLICANTS: One manuscript for each workshop
to which you are applying, not to exceed 10 pages of poetry or up to 25 double-spaced
pages of prose. PLEASE NOTE: RETAIN A COPY OF
YOUR MANUSCRIPT. MANUSCRIPTS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Also, please
bring 15 copies of your workshop manuscript to the manuscript exchange meeting
on Sunday, June 8.
_____SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS: The IUWC offers several scholarships
for the best manuscripts submitted by workshop and
class applicants. All scholarship applicants must indicate their desire to compete
for scholarship support on their application, and submit a scholarship manuscript
(if you are applying for a workshop this can, but need not, duplicate the workshop
manuscript). The scholarship manuscript must be one unpublished story or chapter,
not to exceed 25 double-spaced pages; or ten single-spaced pages of unpublished
poems.
Only the title(s) should appear on your scholarship manuscript. Please submit
a separate cover sheet with your contact information: name, address, phone number,
e-mail address, and the title(s) of your work. All applications must be postmarked
by April 15 to be considered for scholarship support.
