Alla Turca
Turkish music and instruments made their way throughout Europe during
the 17th and 18th Centuries, which then inspired composers to incorporate
both into their works. This week on Harmonia, we'll learn about the
Battle of Vienna, Jannissary bands, as well as listen to music with
a tinge of Turkey. A new release of music from the Borel Manuscript

Alfred C. Kinsey's "Music and Love"
If I were to ask you about Alfred Kinsey, you might tell me that he
was a noted behavioral scientist. You might also mention the acclaimed
movie that focused on his life. What you might be surprised to discover
is that he had a profound love of music. This week on Harmonia we'll
explore Kinsey's secret love - his record collections, and the music
and musicians he admired. A new release of music for recorder and
harp will also be heard.
