August Board News
The University Club Board met on July 8 and discussed plans for attracting new members. We will share more details after the Membership Committee meets again. Jean Sebeok is the chair of the Membership Committee and they have begun to formulate a plan, but are open to any suggestions you may have as well. The board also decided to open the Faculty Room Election Day Evening for any members and their guests who would like to watch the election returns at the Club. There will be a cash bar and we will ask those attending to bring a snack to share. This should be an exciting evening regardless of which side you are on so come and watch with your friends! There are additional tabs on the Program page reflecting our expanding program options:Special Events, Luncheons, Happy Hours, Travel Talks, Meadowood Trips, Club Trips.

SPECIAL OFFER:
Added membership is a high priority goal as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University Club's founding. Members can help in this important activity by inviting friends to attend the July, September or October programs. Non-Members who become members at one of these programs will be the guest of the Club for that event. If the non-member has paid in-advance,(or if a member has paid for his or her guest) the fee will be reimbursed within two weeks.
