At this time I have two suggestions for
enhancing your instructional Web site:
Add a Search Option:
Even if your Web site consists of a few pages, it can be
helpful if you have a Search feature. The search engine can
reside on your Web site, such as the primitive search
feature that Microsoft FrontPage can install for you, or you
can use a search engine that resides elsewhere. If you feel
an urgent need to spend money, you can buy software that
installs a search engine on your Web site or you can buy the
services of an existing search engine elsewhere. But there
are good (and not so good) options that cost you nothing and
are very easy to implement.

Add a Streaming Video Option:
If you have or expect to have digital video
clips that you would like to post on your instructional Web
site, you should consider using streaming video, if a
streaming video server is available at your school. Even a
short high-quality digital video clip can be many megabytes
in length. If you place such a video clip in an ordinary
folder on your Web site, a big portion of the video file may
have to download to the student’s computer before play
begins. In contrast, play can start almost immediately if
the video file is located on a streaming video server, and
it becomes practical to send video of very high quality over
high-speed Internet lines. At Indiana University, you can
easily take advantage of the excellent Digital Media
Streaming Service.
