Facilities

Conveniently located on East Tenth Street on the IU campus, the Asian Culture Center provides a friendly environment for its many activities.

Center Hours

The Asian Culture Center is open during weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the exception of Fridays when it closes at 5:00 p.m. Over summer vacation, the ACC is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Parking

Parking with permits is available at Walnut Grove and 11th Street parking lots at the back of the Geological Science Building (located at 1001 E. 10th street). Parking with fees is also available at the Indiana Memorial Union parking lot. Please allow 3-5 minutes walk from these parking areas to ACC. There is also available parking on city streets after 5:00 p.m.

ACC Lounge

You can spend time with friends, hang out, or join a discussion in the center's comfortable lounge.

Library

The center's resource library includes general-interest books, periodicals, and magazines on the Asian Pacific American experience in the United States. You'll find readings on topics such as Asian immigration to the United States, Indian cooking, the Asian American movement in the 1960s, and current events and issues.

Audio/Visual Room

A regular film series highlights the Asian experience and interests, including films by famous Asian directors. You can also reserve this room to screen your favorite movies.

Computer Lab

The Asian Culture Center provides access to computers and the latest technology for exploring the many cultures of Asia. Web sites, CD-ROMs, and other computer-related resources are available, in both Macintosh and PC computer platforms.

Conference Room

The center's conference room is the site of regular meetings of student organizations, as well as seminars, small group discussions, and lunch programs.

Room Reservations

The Asian Culture Center welcomes all groups and departments to utilize the facilities for meetings and conferences, social gatherings, lectures and other group events. Reserving rooms at the ACC is free of charge and can be arranged by contacting the center for further information.
